View Full Version : why isn't stratagem working?

Hello,


I have been using Stratagem for a very long time. Everything has always worked out till a couple of days ago.

Stratagem stopped working.

I clicked on it, and got the message "it had connected" etc, but when I chose the pair from the drop down box, all I got was a blank grey screen. I was even told to clear out my cache by going to control panel<>java and then go to the "General" tab and then clear out the temporary internet files, etc. It didn't work

I also downloaded the new Java version.

Today, after a few days, I tried downloading a GBPUSD 30 minute chart and it did work! However, I noticed that there was a large gap from October 12 to October 17.

Did Stratagem stop working for a few days? Is there something else I can do to make it work again?

We have logged the issue and will be looking into it.
In the interim, please use one of our other freely available charting packages available on our website:
http://www.fxcm.com/charting-options.jsp

Hello,

Thanks for logging the ticket but keep in mind that Stratagem is the only software that allows you to export data. This is required for me since I use the Dde feed and need to fill in the data for when my computer is turned off. Your other softwares don't give export capability.

You are able to do so with our freely available MarketScope charts.
It is done from the "table view" of the chart, where you can save the information to a text file.

Is the marketscope chart part of the tradestation?

I clicked on "live chart" for marketscope and then on "run", etc, but nothing appeared on my desktop even though the installation had taken place. I think that perhaps it might be part of a bigger installation, ie: tradestation?

Any luck with Stratagem yet? It is the most simple and effective method of downloading data into Excel format. Nothing seems to be working to bring it up.

Any information?

After you have installed the plug-in, nothing is suppose to happen on the desktop, because the function has been automatically installed in the Trading Station platform.

Click on the Charts tab on top of the Trading Station II, and then Create Market Shot, choose your currency and period, right clieck and select View and then Table View. You should be able to see the historical price list.

Hello,

Yes, I figured out how to use the Marketshot, but the question remains. WHy is Stratagem down?

Now, I can retrieve the charts, but they only go up to October 18th. Why isn't FXCM fixing this great product??? Even a call to Stratagem has not resulted in a reply.

Upsetting...

The original issue was fixed.
Our developers are now looking into the halt in data since yesterday.

I hate to keep on asking you about why Stratagem isn't working, but it still isn't working. This is not acceptable. It is taking too long to fix.

Just today, I clicked on a pair and got data till October 19th. WHat is going on? The charting platform used to be a gem but now it is absolutely useless. The developers tell me that they fixed it a while ago but FXCM has not taken the initiative to get it going on their side.

Why is this going on??????????
