Price Logging Application

Hey everyone,

I do a lot of my trades based on open price action of currencies. I make a log in a notebook of the FXCM sell price every half hour on the hour to the dot. This allows me to manually graph out certain trends. Obviously this requires me to be in front of a PC every half hour, and I am trying to simplify this process.

I would like to create an application that can log this price data for me, and then keep it in some sort of database. I think using the API is the best way to get this data into the software, but as I am not a programmer, I do not know where to start looking to design such an application. Any takers? hehe

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Not trying to do anything fancy, just an auto log of 30M price action every half hour on the dot.

You can use the MarketScope charts that are provided with the FXCM Trading Station. If you plot a 30 minute chart, you can then view the "Table View".

The "Table View" is a spreadsheet-style view of the data in the chart. Once open, you can copy and paste the data into another application like notepad or excel.
